August 28, 2009 The Islamic Information Center is proud to announce, that as a result of the American Leadership Initiative for Muslims that took place on the July 17th, 2009 weekend, two new IIC chapters are being opened! The chapters will be opened in the New York City and Miami areas, and will encompass Muslim communities in New York and New Jersey, and in Miami, Florida! These chapters will help further the mission of the Islamic Information Center on a local and grassroots level. Community members will benefit from increased efforts to connect them to local politicians, media, and interfaith outreach groups.

The Islamic Information Center and the United Muslim Foundation proudly invite the community to attend Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida in celebration of Eid ul Adha on November 28th, 2009. The celebration will take place from 5:00pm to 11:00pm at Universal Studios, and tickets will only cost $30 per person. Ages 3 and under will inter for free, and Halal meals will be available.
