Eid Mubarak from the Islamic Information Center E-mail

November 17, 2010

Islamic Information Center

On this most blessed occasion, the Islamic Information Center would like to congratulate the global Muslim community for the completion of the Holy ceremonies of Hajj and the celebration of Eid al Adha. Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. This week Europol released an annual study of terrorism; the results do not support claims that "(nearly) all Muslims are terrorists". The Islamic Information Center joins the statement by the Arab Program for Human Rights, and reiterates its support for the innocent and peaceful people of Bahrain, who are victims of violent and radical oppression by the Bahraini government.
