The Islamic Information Center voices its strong condemnation of the attack which took place at a Jewish Center in Seattle. One person was killed and five others were wounded when a man claiming to be a Muslim opened fire on the crowd. Such attacks on innocent people are not permissible in Islam and are clearly and explicitly condemned in Islam. The religion of Islam requires that as Muslims we support those individuals who undergo oppression regardless of what their ethnicity is. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims of this attack as well as the Seattle Jewish community.
The Islamic Information Center (IIC) under the guidance of Imam Syed Naqvi works to bring understanding among people of all faiths and background in an attempt to build bridges for the future to prevent hate crimes through education and tolerance. IIC also works to correct any misinformation about matters relating to the holy religion of Islam.
