IIC Offers Condolences to Virginia Tech Victims

April 16, 2007 The Islamic Information Center would like to offer its condolences and prayers to the families of the victims of the Virginia Tech University shooting today. We join the community at large in mourning such an immense tragedy. In Islam striving to gain knowledge is seen as an act of worship, and the innocent victims of the school shooting were doing just that. The Islamic Information Center calls on all faith leaders and persons of faith for a joint prayer for the families of the victims. We pray that God give these families the strength to endure this great tragedy, and that He protect them from further hardship. May God Bless us all.
