IIC Main Offices
In early 2007, the Islamic Information Center relocated its main headquarters to the National Press Club building in Washington D.C.  The National Press Club is an international news media hub, home to hundreds of media organizations from around the world, and regularly hosts world leaders and various elected officials from around the nation.  By positioning an office in this location, the Islamic Information Center is uniquely suited to disseminate important Islamic information throughout the world in a professional and instantaneous manner.

(WASHINGTON DC - December 17, 2008) On this most blessed occasion, the Islamic Information Center would like to congratulate the global Muslim community on the Holy occasion of Eid al Ghadir.

On the 18th day of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hajj, more than 1400 years ago, the Prophet's caravan stopped at a location known as Khumm. It was here, at Ghadir Al-Khumm that Prophet Muhammad (May God Bless Him) delivered a very famous sermon in which he named Imam Ali to be his successor. This day holds incredible significance to Muslims everywhere, and is widely celebrated with great festivity.

Muslims around the world respect Imam Ali for his incredible wisdom, humbleness, leadership, and love for Islam. IIC hopes that you have a joyous and wonderful Eid!

In the spirit of this celebration, IIC asks that you perform an act of kindness and remember one another in your prayers.

Eid Mubarak!
