Announcement of Chapter Opening in Saint Louis, Missouri with Interfaith Dinner to Raise Funds for Haiti

IIC Main Offices

In early 2007, the Islamic Information Center relocated its main headquarters to the National Press Club building in Washington D.C. The National Press Club is an international news media hub, home to hundreds of media organizations from around the world, and regularly hosts world leaders and various elected officials from around the nation. By positioning an office in this location, the Islamic Information Center is uniquely suited to disseminate important Islamic information throughout the world in a professional and instantaneous manner.

(WASHINGTON DC - February 8, 2010) The Islamic Information Center is proud to announce, that as a result of the American Leadership Initiative for Muslims that took place on the July 17th, 2009 weekend, IIC will be opening a new chapter in Saint Louis, Missouri with a Interfaith Fundraising Dinner for Haiti.

The Relief Dinner will take place at the Zainabia Islamic Center at 6 p.m.on February 27, 2010. The address for Zainabia is 7011 Howdershell Rd, Hazelwood, Missouri, 63042.

This will be IIC's sixth chapter opening in this country! These chapters will help further the mission of the Islamic Information Center on a local and grassroots level. Community members will benefit from increased efforts to connect them to local politicians, media, and interfaith outreach groups.

In establishing these chapters, one of the main goals of the ALIM Convention was accomplished. The purpose of the conference was to bring actionable plans to the community in a way that all could participate.
