December 28, 2008 The Islamic Information Center strongly condemns Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip in Palestine which have claimed the lives of nearly three hundred innocent individuals, including women and children. More than seven hundred other individuals were grievously harmed in these attacks, and the crisis is on going. IIC calls for an immediate halt to aggression on both sides of the conflict, and for emergency humanitarian aid to be provided to the innocent people of Palestine. January 7, 2009 The Islamic Information Center would like to offer condolences to the hundreds of millions of Muslims commemorating the day of Ashura today. Nearly 1,400 years ago, Imam Husain ibn Ali, grandson of Prophet Muhammad (May God Bless Them), was tragically martyred on the sands of Karbala, Iraq. Imam Husain sought to promote justice, and help restore Islam to its peaceful and benevolent nature - a movement opposed by oppressors.

December 29, 2008 The Islamic Information Center would like to commemorate the beginning of the Islamic month of mourning known as Muharram, with today being the first day of his Holy month. During Muharram hundreds of millions of Muslims mourn the tragedy that befell the family of Prophet Muhammad's grandson, Imam Husain (May God Bless Them All) on the field of Karbala nearly 1,400 years ago. Karbala is located in modern day Iraq.

December 17, 2008 On this most blessed occasion, the Islamic Information Center would like to congratulate the global Muslim community on the Holy occasion of Eid al Ghadir. On the 18th day of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hajj, more than 1400 years ago, the Prophet's caravan stopped at a location known as Khumm. It was here, at Ghadir Al-Khumm that Prophet Muhammad (May God Bless Him) delivered a very famous sermon in which he named Imam Ali to be his successor. This day holds incredible significance to Muslims everywhere, and is widely celebrated with great festivity

December 9, 2008 On this most blessed occasion, the Islamic Information Center would like to congratulate the global Muslim community for the completion of the Holy ceremonies of Hajj and the celebration of Eid al Adha. Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide in commemoration of the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. The Devil tempted Prophet Ibrahim by saying he should disobey God and spare his son. As Prophet Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, God intervened saving Prophet Ibrahim, and replacing the sacrifice with a greater sacrifice to be taken at a later era.

December 29, 2009 IIC announces Emergency Demonstrations on Tuesday, December 30 and other days to protest the massacre of innocent Palestinians. The ANSWER Coalition, Muslim American Society Freedom, Free Palestine Alliance, National Council of Arab Americans, and Al-Awda, International Palestine Right to Return Coalition, and Islamic Information Center are calling for Tuesday, December 30 to be a National Day of Action to show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and to demand an immediate end to the murderous attacks carried out by the Israeli military against the people of Gaza.
